Kid's magician, ventriloquist, balloon tornado, and comedy vocalist. Potty the Pirate has more than 20 years of experience in the theatre business. Potty the Pirate was developed in 2001, and has considering that turned into one of the prominent kids's performers in the UK, specialising in household shows for public events, and birthday parties. Doug began juggling at the age of 4. He offered his first West End magic program aged 11 at the Unicorn Theatre. He later worked as a professional actor and opera vocalist, consisting of a number of pantomime functions. After 10 years working for some of the World's leading cruise lines, Doug settled in Brighton and produced Potty the Pirate.
My real name is Doug Roberts. Many years experience as a magician, vocalist, ventriloquist and balloon modeller. Over ten years working aboard some of the World's leading cruise lines, including: Royal Caribbean, Cunard, and Holland America Line.
With over 20 programs for households and kids, I'm now developing my latest series of shows which will include my animatronics Chimpanzee Chewey. This advanced puppet is quite incredible, and I hope to soon be using a few of the most exciting kids' programs. Chewey and I will sing funny duets, he will play the piano, and I'll have my Caribbean guitar (cuatro).
Although I created Potty the Pirate in 2002, I've been a pirate for the majority of my life! It's fair to say that Potty has actually originated as a result of all the different parts of my life - as an entertainer aboard cruise liner, a singing gondolier, a barbershop vocalist, an opera vocalist, an actor, magician, ventriloquist, and a freedom-fighter. I was captivated by magic from the age of 4, and in my compulsive method, invested the majority of my childhood finding out to be a conjuror. Though I primarily work as a children's and family performer, I like to carry out close-up magic and mentalism. In the past couple of years there have been great deals of interesting advancements in the field of magic, and it's been so much enjoyable to develop huge, colourful programs that can play to a little audience in a town hall, or to a theatre loaded with individuals.
